George Cross Medal - mini - Framed

This mini George Cross Medal replica has been hand cast in England, from an original, and silver plated.
It is presented in a wooden frame, which is ready to hang.
The display contains a detailed miniature reproduction of this famous medal.
Above the medal, reads; George Cross, Instituted: 24th September 1940.
Below the medal, reads; A plain bordered cross with a circular medallion in the centre depicting the effigy of St. George and the Dragon after Benedetto Pistrucci, surrounded by the words FOR GALLANTRY. In the angle of each limb is the Royal cipher GVI. The cross hangs by a ring from a bar adorned with laural leaves.
The frame measures 8 1/4" high x 6 1/4 wide x 1” deep (21 x 16 x 2.5 cm) approx.
